Clippable

FTC Compliance

Effective January 1, 2026

Clippable operates as a performance-based campaign platform where creators may receive compensation or other incentives in connection with branded content. Transparency is required. We align our policies with the guidelines set by the Federal Trade Commission and expect all creators and brands using Clippable to comply with applicable advertising and endorsement laws.

Material Connections

Under the Federal Trade Commission's endorsement guidelines, a disclosure is required whenever there is a material connection between a creator and a brand that could affect how an audience views the endorsement. A material connection includes, but is not limited to, direct payment, performance-based payouts, revenue share, affiliate commissions, free or discounted products or services, gifts, early access, employment relationships, or any other incentive tied to the content. If value is exchanged, disclosure is required.

Disclosure Standards

Disclosures must be clear, conspicuous, and easy to understand. Acceptable examples include "Ad," "Sponsored," "Paid partnership," "Advertisement," or "I earn commission from this link."

Disclosures must appear where viewers will see them without clicking "more," expanding captions, or searching through hashtags. Placing a disclosure only in comments, hiding it in a group of hashtags, or separating it from the endorsement is not sufficient.

Video Content

For video content, disclosure should appear in the caption and, when possible, within the video itself through on-screen text or spoken audio. Because many users watch without sound, visual disclosure is strongly recommended.

If a social media platform provides a branded content or paid partnership tool, creators must use that tool in addition to including clear written disclosure.

Truthfulness & Accuracy

Creators are responsible for ensuring that all claims made about a product or service are truthful, not misleading, and reflect their honest opinions and actual experience. False guarantees, exaggerated performance claims, unsupported health or financial statements, or deceptive practices are not permitted.

Platform Enforcement

Clippable may implement automated prompts, required acknowledgment flows, and monitoring systems to support compliance with FTC standards. Creators may be required to confirm disclosure compliance before becoming eligible for payout.

Clippable reserves the right to request edits, remove content from campaign eligibility, withhold or reverse payouts, suspend accounts, or permanently terminate access in cases of non-compliance, repeated violations, or intentional concealment of sponsorship.

Brand Obligations

Brands using Clippable may not request, encourage, or incentivize undisclosed sponsored content. Any attempt to bypass Federal Trade Commission disclosure requirements is strictly prohibited and may result in campaign removal or account termination.

Creator Responsibility

Creators remain solely responsible for complying with all applicable advertising and consumer protection laws in the jurisdictions where their content is distributed. Participation in a Clippable campaign constitutes acknowledgment of these obligations.

Transparency protects creators, brands, and audiences. Clippable is committed to building a performance marketplace rooted in trust, measurable outcomes, and clear accountability.
